Discover the extraordinary wildlife of Baird Bay on a relaxed sightseeing cruise through one of Australia's most pristine marine environments.

Journey across the sheltered waters of Baird Bay to encounter wild Australian Sea Lions, playful Dolphins, abundant birdlife and spectacular coastal scenery from the comfort of the boat.

Our small-group experience takes you to Jones Island, home to a resident colony of Australian Sea Lions, affectionately known as the "puppies of the sea". Watch these curious and charismatic animals in their natural habitat before cruising across the bay in search of wild Dolphins, renowned for their inquisitive nature and frequent close encounters with our vessels.

Sightseeing guests travel alongside swim tour guests and can enjoy watching sea lion and dolphin interactions from the boat. During the winter months, this experience operates exclusively as a sightseeing cruise.

Importantly, our wildlife encounters are conducted with the utmost respect for the animals and their environment. We do not feed, touch or interfere with the Sea Lions or Dolphins. Instead, we observe them on their terms, in their natural habitat.

• This tour does not include lunch. If you would like to add a dining experience, please select our Sea Lion & Dolphin Sightseeing Tour with Lunch option. Our seasonal menus showcase the best local produce, including Eyre Peninsula seafood, and dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notice.
• Baird Bay is located approximately 30km along a well-maintained all-weather unsealed road.
• Tour duration typically ranges from 2.5 to 4 hours, depending on wildlife activity and conditions on the day.
• If your preferred tour time is unavailable online, please contact us directly.
• Child rates apply to guests aged 17 years and under, including infants.

Summer Tidal Conditions

During the summer months, exceptionally low tides may occasionally require guests to wade through a shallow channel to access the vessel.

• Water depth varies with tidal conditions and may reach waist level.
• Surfaces can be uneven, soft or slippery in places.
• Guests with mobility considerations or concerns are encouraged to contact us prior to booking so we can discuss suitability and available assistance options.
